Mexico, Here We Come!

Tomorrow morning, while you will probably still be sleeping, we will begin our journey to Mexico. Our first flight is scheduled just before 5:30 AM, and we will be traveling all day with two connecting flights before we get to Puebla, Mexico tomorrow evening. We found out today that the airline we are flying with (Delta) had a major glitch in their system a couple days ago with hundreds of flights canceled, and so we are hoping and praying that our flights will not be canceled or delayed tomorrow. Please pray with us for safe and timely travel and connections tomorrow, and for patience and wisdom should we have to deal with canceled or delayed flights.
Please pray for our different opportunities while we are in Mexico. We will have opportunities to meet many missionaries and other contacts in the Puebla area. We will have opportunities to see a variety of ministries and places we can serve in the future. We will have opportunities to share the gospel as I (Chris) speak at an orphanage. We are so excited to see what God will do in and through us during this trip. Please pray that we would be a blessing to the missionaries and all those we meet during our trip, and that God would use this trip to show us where and how He wants to use us in Puebla for future ministry.
We praise God for how he has provided for us and led us to this point. God provided missionary contacts whom we will be working with (Kevin and Andrea Bult and their family), He provided a place for us to stay (through a friend from college), and He has used the generosity of family and friends to help with our financial needs.
Please pray with us that God would give us a good and successful trip, and that He would give us wisdom and guide our steps as we consider what plans He might have for us in Puebla. We are so excited and can't wait to tell you about the great things God is doing! Pray for us!

Changing Ministry Location Many of you already know that we are planning to move back to the States in the near future. We have shared with many of you the reasons for this change, but if anyone has questions or concerns about this decision, please feel free to reach out to us. Two Percent

Is world missions a priority in your budget? What if I told you that with a mere 2% of your income, you could make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God? Let’s do the math. If you make $30,000/year, 2% of that would be $50/month. For $45,000 it’s $75/month, and for $60k that’s $100/month. Maybe that sounds like a big commitment. But think of the eternal impact that commitment would have. People’s souls are at stake. What are we doing to advance the gospel--the only way people can be made right with God? What does that look like for you? Maybe it means sponsoring a child in an orphanage, personally supporting a missionary, or giving extra toward your church’s missions program. I challenge you to do something . Maybe start with 1% if you don’t think you can do 2%. Or maybe you should do 10%. Ask God what He wants you to do, and then obey.
