Two Percent

Is world missions a priority in your budget?

What if I told you that with a mere 2% of your income, you could make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God?

Let’s do the math. If you make $30,000/year, 2% of that would be $50/month. For $45,000 it’s $75/month, and for $60k that’s $100/month.

Maybe that sounds like a big commitment. But think of the eternal impact that commitment would have. People’s souls are at stake. What are we doing to advance the gospel--the only way people can be made right with God?

What does that look like for you? Maybe it means sponsoring a child in an orphanage, personally supporting a missionary, or giving extra toward your church’s missions program.

I challenge you to do something.

Maybe start with 1% if you don’t think you can do 2%. Or maybe you should do 10%. Ask God what He wants you to do, and then obey.

If you would like to join our support team, we would love to have you be a part of the work God is doing in Puebla, Mexico. We are still in need of $1600-$1700 in monthly support.

If it’s helpful, here are some giving suggestions:

Just think what God could do with your two percent!

Puebla Bible Seminary The semester is over and most of the students are back with their families and serving with their home churches over Christmas break. This semester I had 29 students between the three courses I taught, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to teach them the Scriptures and the biblical languages. Group photo of this year's seminary students At the end of the semester, we had a time of food and fellowship with each class, and it was meaningful to hear all that the students had learned throughout the semester and how they’ve grown in their relationship with God and knowledge of His Word. We ended the semester with a fellowship of all the students and staff around a campfire, with games, singing, testimonies, and carne asada. I especially enjoyed hearing the testimonies of the students and what God has done in their lives. Collins Family Update: March 2022

Changing Ministry Location Many of you already know that we are planning to move back to the States in the near future. We have shared with many of you the reasons for this change, but if anyone has questions or concerns about this decision, please feel free to reach out to us. We are planning to arrive back in the States in mid-April, and we hope to see many of you then. We are currently pursuing an opportunity to serve in pastoral ministry in the northern Michigan area, and we are waiting for an answer from the church. While we patiently wait for God’s leading in our ministry change, we are continuing to serve in our ministries in Mexico, and we will continue serving via online ministry once we are back in the States. We expect to need missions support at least through the end of May, and perhaps longer depending on how God leads us in the next two months. We will do our best to keep in touch with our supporters as we learn how God is leading our family and ministry. We would ask ...

Collins Family Update June 2022

Dear praying friends, The last few months have been turbulent for our family to say the least, as we have navigated a major life and ministry change. Thank you to all who have been praying for us! It has been so encouraging to have so many people reach out and remind us that they’re praying. We want to give you an update and ask for your continued prayers. My parents flew down to Puebla in early April to help us with our move back to the States. They were such a blessing to us as we worked through all the details of leaving Mexico, including packing our suitcases, holding a sale, and getting rid of all of our things there. We came back with just our suitcases full of mostly books and clothes, and we’ve been living out of suitcases for the last two and a half months. We were so encouraged and blessed by a generous offering from one of our supporting churches, Suber Road Baptist Church, which will help us a good bit with getting furniture and other necessities when we get our own pla...
