Puebla Bible Seminary
Fall semester ended at Puebla Bible Seminary this last Friday, December
4. This semester I taught Greek 1 and 3. For many of the students, it was their
most challenging class, but I was thankful to see their effort to learn. I also
enjoyed getting to know many of the students on a more personal level and
counseling and encouraging them in their personal lives and ministries.
At the end of the semester, we had a special celebration and Sarah made
some delicious treats for my students.
For the spring semester next year, I am scheduled to teach Greek 2 and
Introduction to Hebrew. I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare these
courses and that God would help me as I teach and the students as they learn.
Children’s
Homes
We have had several opportunities to serve in the children’s homes over
the past few months. Many Saturdays we play soccer with the boys at the
seminary, and I’ve been able to share from God’s Word with them too. At the
girls’ home I have been sharing devotionals on Fridays and Sarah makes desserts
or other foods with the girls. Some of the girls are very open to learning from
the Bible, and of course they all love the desserts!
Ágape Baptist Bible Church
At the end of
November, we started a new preaching series on the book of Romans, and I preached
the first passage this last Sunday. I am excited to see how God will use this
series to help people come to understand the gospel message its implications
for their lives.
We are also thankful
for God’s provision of a new place to meet, where we have room to grow. Please
pray with us that God would bring more people to our church and that He would
give us opportunities to help people come to know Him and grow in their
relationship with Him.
Pray for us
- Please continue to pray for us as we continue serving in Puebla, Mexico in these various ministries.
- Pray that we would be faithful and walk closely with God so He can work through us.
- Pray for wisdom as we parent our children, that God would work in our lives and theirs.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
Chris and Sarah Collins
