Who We Are
We are Chris and Sarah Collins. We currently live in Traverse City, MI, where we serve at Bible Baptist Church. God brought us together because of our common love for Spanish and our desire to serve God on a Spanish speaking mission field.

New Appointees
We are thrilled to announce that we are now officially part of the Camino Global family! The dream that God gave us a couple years ago is starting to come true. It is hard to believe, but we are actually on our way to becoming missionaries to Mexico.

We had a fabulous time in our Candidate Assessment and Orientation at the Camino headquarters in Dallas. We loved learning about the organization and how God is using Camino Global to reach Spanish speakers across the world. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the staff and seeing their heart for God and His work among Spanish speaking people. It was a wonderful time, and we are so thankful that God has brought us to this organization. You can  learn more about this mission organization that has been ministering for over 125 years at www.caminoglobal.org.

The field we believe that God is calling us to is Puebla, Mexico. God has burdened our hearts specifically for orphan care and Christian education, both of which are great needs in Mexico. Lord willing, we will work with a team to start a Christian orphanage in Puebla, and Chris will also teach Bible and Greek classes at Puebla Christian School and Puebla Bible Seminary as opportunities arise.

Developing Ministry Partners
While we are aware that the support raising process can be long and sometimes discouraging, we are excited because we know that God will use this time to mold our character and grow our patience and trust in Him.
We are also excited because of the perspective we have been given. This is not just about raising funds; this is about developing lasting relationships with people and churches to advance the gospel ministry. This is partnership, much like Paul spoke of in the book of Philippians.

Paul tells the believers in Philippians 1:3-5,
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” (ESV)

Paul considered the Philippian believers his partners in the ministry of the gospel. They supported him financially and in prayer, and he taught them, encouraged them, and prayed for them.

And if you read the whole epistle, it almost sounds like a missionary prayer letter. Paul gives thanks for their prayers and financial support, gives them an update on his situation and his current ministries, talks about plans to visit the church, and encourages them to continue strong in the faith.

So like the Apostle Paul, our desire is to develop lasting relationships with people and churches, partnering together to fulfill the Great Commission.

Prayer Requests
We need your prayers. Here are some things you can pray about for us.
-Pray for personal and spiritual growth
-Pray that God would strengthen our marriage
-Pray for wisdom in all our decisions
-Pray for ministry partners to join us
Thank you so much for your prayers! We are so excited about what God is going to do.

Mexico, Here We Come!

Tomorrow morning, while you will probably still be sleeping, we will begin our journey to Mexico. Our first flight is scheduled just before 5:30 AM, and we will be traveling all day with two connecting flights before we get to Puebla, Mexico tomorrow evening. We found out today that the airline we are flying with (Delta) had a major glitch in their system a couple days ago with hundreds of flights canceled, and so we are hoping and praying that our flights will not be canceled or delayed tomorrow. Please pray with us for safe and timely travel and connections tomorrow, and for patience and wisdom should we have to deal with canceled or delayed flights. Please pray for our different opportunities while we are in Mexico. We will have opportunities to meet many missionaries and other contacts in the Puebla area. We will have opportunities to see a variety of ministries and places we can serve in the future. We will have opportunities to share the gospel as I (Chris) speak at an orphanage...

Puebla Bible Seminary The semester is over and most of the students are back with their families and serving with their home churches over Christmas break. This semester I had 29 students between the three courses I taught, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to teach them the Scriptures and the biblical languages. Group photo of this year's seminary students At the end of the semester, we had a time of food and fellowship with each class, and it was meaningful to hear all that the students had learned throughout the semester and how they’ve grown in their relationship with God and knowledge of His Word. We ended the semester with a fellowship of all the students and staff around a campfire, with games, singing, testimonies, and carne asada. I especially enjoyed hearing the testimonies of the students and what God has done in their lives. Collins Family Update Fall 2022

Always the Same One of my favorite attributes of God is his immutability—that he never changes. It is a great comfort to know that though our life circumstances change, and we ourselves change, yet God remains the same as he has been and will be for all eternity. Our new place of ministry and kind of ministry may seem less glamorous or exciting in some ways, but it is the same God that are continuing to serve, and he is the same God who continues to work in and through us for the glory of his name and the good of his people. He is the constant throughout all the changes. He is always the same. New Ministry Opportunity By God’s grace I (Chris) was called by a unanimous vote of the members of Antioch Bible Church of Mesick, MI to be their pastor on July 3, 2022. I am humbled and honored by the privilege of serving God in this new ministry. To be entrusted with the pastoral care of the souls of others is a weighty responsibility, and God has used this to draw me deeper into communion wi...
